ABOUT BREAKING CHAINS MAKING AMENDS

Breaking Chains Making Amends (BCMA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing educational scholarships for children and grandchildren of both the incarcerated individual behind prison walls and the victim of the crime. The foundation also provides a mentoring component to pre and post incarceration. Additionally, BCMA has a prison ministry team that goes into prisons and conduct Spiritual Encounters.

About

Established to help eliminate the overwhelming statistics of generational incarceration:

1
million children in the U.S. have an incarcerated parent. That is 1 in 28 children
1 %
of these kids are doomed to follow in the same footsteps as their parents becoming imprisoned at some point in their lives.
0 x
more likely than their peers to commit crimes.

BCMA gives hope by providing the opportunity of a higher education or trade by offering a scholarship. This vision also gives hope to the incarcerated by providing a mentoring concept as well as an opportunity to connect to their spirituality.
